Always a Bridesmaid Never a Bride

Posted by: admin on: 01 Sep, 2010

“Do you realize Fran has chosen teal for her brides maids? Teal, the color of gang-green. My last bride who chose teal ended up getting her marriage annulled in 12 days! You might as well commit matrimonial suicide right now!”- Wedding Planner

It’s too bad the Greek Prince’s bride, Tatiana Blatnik, didn’t get the memo last week before she wed Prince Nikoloas of Greece. Or did she? That we might not ever know, but what I  am sure of  is that dressing your bridesmaids up as Little Mermaid isn’t nice or pretty. But then again, with every friends wedding is another friends wedding which only means….Payback!

Holy Moly… J.Crew Outlet Is Going Online!

Posted by: admin on: 30 Aug, 2010

As an extreme J.Crew fan with an ATM card that holds only enough for J.Crew Factory I believe a little gift from the heavens has certainly been sent down! I feel it is my pure duty to shop at an outlet anytime one is found, whether it be on vacation or a weekend trip, due to the fact J.Crew Factory will be there awaiting my likely purchase of a cardigan and the handling of a shiny debit card.

Without driving 45 minutes to find your nearest J.Crew Outlet or holding out for that one vacation with that one giant outlet store, it will be in the palm of your computer illiterate hands just a few ENTER’s and SCROLL’s away!

Throughout most parts of the country COLLEGE is officially back in session! You’re probably getting excited for the football season, the first themed party of the year, and of course going to class (well…when you actually get up)! You are most likely rolling out of bed and putting on your school uniform a.k.a - sweatpants, shorts, and a t-shirt all which state your schools logo or name just in case anyone in your class was confused to what school you are currently attending.

Even if you’re the cutest little thing on this planet that doesn’t mean you’re immune to terrible trends!

Giant Belts

I’m all about wearing a bulky belt to cinch the waist. After all, they’re in style, they help build the appearance of curves, and accentuate a smaller waist. However, when wearing an abnormally large size belt that makes you or someone on the street question whether you’re planning to do extensive squats, just won “Worlds Best Wrestler” (because obviously that’s not something to joke about), or sport a groovy (yes I just said groovy) retro back brace… then you and your hunk of a belt have serious issues. Instead stick to the chic mid-size belt! Trust me on this one.

Kmart Jumps, Sits, and Scoots on the Bandwagon

Posted by: admin on: 11 Aug, 2010

Did Kmart get bitten by Vogue?

Well, not exactly but they did hire Alexi Lubomirski to photograph an ad campaign that will pop up in the pages of the beloved September Issue of Vogue .

“Kmart in Vogue…  What has this world come to?”

It looks like fashion with an affordable price tag shouting: REALISM!

Call Me Crazy…Or Don’t?

Posted by: admin on: 10 Aug, 2010

Is it me or is this hot August weather making everyone a little off-pudding?!

First, it was the man who stepped onto the sleepy and quiet bus after the 3rd stop this morning and proceeded to yell at everyone for having their I-pods up too loud all while placing giant Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones over his head. It took everything not to say “Excuse me Sir Crazy, while you’re landing a plane let the rest of us ride in peace.” Did I mention that he chose to sit next to me?

Only on the RUNWAY can you catwalk but not actually walk a cat, get a job based on your size because apparently it does matter, and be covered head to toe in fur while acting like everything is perfectly normal.

Fall Forward…What to Wear for Fall 2010

Posted by: admin on: 03 Aug, 2010

After a frigid winter followed by scorching heat waves throughout the summer, FALL is finally peeking around the corner only to prove that…. God does indeed still love us!

Being from a small town I am in no way, shape, or form a stranger to denim, overalls, flannel, and boots. I’m also not a stranger to decorative red and blue stars on the outside of houses, country music, roosters as décor, Carhart jackets, or John Deere apparel.

Paid to Make Women Look Beautiful?

Posted by: admin on: 16 Jul, 2010

Did you know that people are actually paid to make women look beautiful(Sarcasm)?? Yea, me either! And according to photographer Nicholas Routzen that’s just what he did!

Read Below:

(Excerpt from NYMag The Cut)Photographer Nicholas Routzen explained that Crystal looks the way she does because the photos were “…taken from a higher angle with a wider lens.” But he also added, “I shaped her…I did nothing that I wouldn’t do to anyone. I’m paid to make women look beautiful.”]

As if being a beautiful woman is only attainable by the infamous ways of Photoshopping!  Or instead of beautiful maybe he should of just stated, “I’m paid to make women look PERFECT?!” So once again another industry mishap shows up everywhere in the blogosphere and internet.

Because real people don't wear sparkle pants to Olive Garden!
