What in the World is Going On?? Designers for Diapers!

Posted by: admin on: 02 Jul, 2010

Okay designers and parents…“this” is getting out of hand!!!!  If you don’t know what “this” is please let me explain….

It all started with Huggies Jean Diapers, okay so they’re cute you might say, but then we have designer Cynthia Rowley for Pampers by Target and we’re not done yet. Next we have Fendi, yep the one that’s mentioned in Sex and the City for high end designer lines, who will have a childrens line out for newborns on up to 12 years old.

Because naturally all newborns need designer labels!!!! Right?!

Total Eclipse of Most of Our Hearts!

Posted by: admin on: 29 Jun, 2010

While renting a movie last night from our local Redbox, I couldn’t help but over hear the most dreadful words coming out of the two 12 year old girls standing behind me. As one girl turned to the other she said pointing at The Twilight Saga: New Moon, “You want to rent this?”  The other girl responded by saying, “NO! I can’t stand Robert Pattinson!”

Now, like any respectable 23 year old I almost started an argument with someone half my height and half my age. Though somehow I held my tongue. Obviously my assumption that all teenage girls liked Twilight and of course Edward (Robert Pattinson) was terribly wrong. And what stung even worse is the fact that these teen boppers were saying such harsh words on the Eve of the Eve of the The Twilight Saga Premiere of EclipseHow dare they!

    Live from New York…

Posted by: admin on: 18 Jun, 2010

If it wasn’t obvious by my 2 hour commute on a bus filled with travelers to NYC that I’m not quite the typical commuter and/or New Yorker, let it be known now! Although obsessed with the Empire State from quite a young age, being a “real” girl originally from Indiana anything beyond corn fields can pretty much amaze me. So when asked for the opportunity to intern for a well-known company needless to say I jumped, skipped, and rode my butt into NYC!

As the fashion capital of the world, I thought  it was only appropriate to bring a bit of Reality Chic into the city.

So here are 10 Ways Reality Just Happens to Stick Out!

Small Town Girl, Big City Fashion

Posted by: admin on: 26 May, 2010

I grew up in a small town in Indiana of about 1000 people. This was a place where the Town Marshal also served as our substitute teacher, the guidance counselor was my mom’s close friend, and the school nurse and I shared the same last name!

Yes city people…places like this do exist!
You might ask, what does all this have to do with fashion? Well…

Let’s be real! When you’re at a family wedding or have been invited to a family wedding ( and by family wedding I pretty much mean any wedding) people are judging you! It’s kinda like the red carpet of “real life”.

Technically, when attending a wedding you have to get dressed up and then escorted down a long walkway wear everyone is staring at each other while waiting for the wedding to begin. It just happens to be very similar to the star studded roll out carpet that celebrities are escorted on  all while trying to make  their way to the big show.

    So what does this mean?!

    Guys Love Dick’s (Sporting Goods)

I’m as much as a sports fan as the next; however, when it comes to buying sports gear I can somehow (emphasis on somehow) hold back!  I learned 2 things after going to Dick’s Sporting Goods last night.

Reality Chic’s 1st MEET and GREET: Blogger Feature

Posted by: admin on: 29 Mar, 2010

The Blogosphere is somewhat of a mystery. It’s where many of us “mystery people”, a.k.a bloggers, sit in our P.J’s typing thoughts that cross our mind, but it’s also one of importance where breaking stories can hit the fan! So what better way to get to know fellow bloggers than to personally meet them! I’ve asked 6 bloggers, 6 questions…a so called: MEET and GREET! Check out what these bloggers have to say!

Fashion may come in all sorts of sizes, shapes, and colors, but it most certainly comes in decades…
